Psalm 64
For the choir director: A psalm of David.
1 O God, listen to my complaint.
Protect my life from my enemies’ threats.
2 Hide me from the plots of this evil mob,
from this gang of wrongdoers.
3 They sharpen their tongues like swords
and aim their bitter words like arrows.
4 They shoot from ambush at the innocent,
attacking suddenly and fearlessly.
5 They encourage each other to do evil
and plan how to set their traps in secret.
“Who will ever notice?” they ask.
6 As they plot their crimes, they say,
“We have devised the perfect plan!”
Yes, the human heart and mind are cunning.
7 But God himself will shoot them with his arrows,
suddenly striking them down.
8 Their own tongues will ruin them,
and all who see them will shake their heads in scorn.
9 Then everyone will be afraid;
they will proclaim the mighty acts of God
and realize all the amazing things he does.
10 The godly will rejoice in the Lord
and find shelter in him.
And those who do what is right
will praise him.

Para el director del coro: salmo de David.
64 Oh Dios, escucha mi queja;
protege mi vida de las amenazas de mis enemigos.
2 Escóndeme de las conspiraciones de esta turba malvada,
de esta pandilla de malhechores.
3 Afilan su lengua como espada
y apuntan como flechas sus palabras amargas.
4 Le tiran a los inocentes desde una emboscada;
los atacan de repente y sin temor.
5 Se animan unos a otros a hacer el mal
y maquinan cómo tender sus trampas en secreto.
«¿Quién se dará cuenta?», preguntan.
6 Dicen mientras traman sus delitos:
«¡Hemos orquestado el plan perfecto!».
Es cierto, el corazón y la mente del ser humano son astutos.
7 Pero Dios mismo les lanzará sus flechas
y los herirá de repente.
8 Su propia lengua los arruinará,
y quienes los vean, menearán la cabeza en señal de desprecio.
9 Entonces todos temerán;
proclamarán los poderosos actos de Dios,
y se darán cuenta de todas las cosas asombrosas que él hace.
10 Los justos se alegrarán en el Señor,
y en él encontrarán refugio.
Y los que hacen lo correcto
lo alabarán.
