Psalm 61
For the choir director: A psalm of David, to be accompanied by stringed instruments.
1 O God, listen to my cry!
Hear my prayer!
2 From the ends of the earth,
I cry to you for help
when my heart is overwhelmed.
Lead me to the towering rock of safety,
3 for you are my safe refuge,
a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.
4 Let me live forever in your sanctuary,
safe beneath the shelter of your wings! Interlude
5 For you have heard my vows, O God.
You have given me an inheritance reserved for those who fear your name.
6 Add many years to the life of the king!
May his years span the generations!
7 May he reign under God’s protection forever.
May your unfailing love and faithfulness watch over him.
8 Then I will sing praises to your name forever
as I fulfill my vows each day.

Ang Pag-ampo alang sa Panalipod sa Dios
61 Pamatia ang akong pagpakitabang, O Dios!
Pamatia ang akong pag-ampo.
2 Gikan dinhi sa layong dapit, nanawag ako kanimo tungod kay nawad-an na ako ug paglaom.
Dad-a ako sa dapit diin luwas ako sa kakuyaw,[a]
3 kay ikaw mao ang nagapanalipod kanako.
Sama ikaw sa usa ka lig-ong paril nga nagapanalipod sa siyudad batok sa mga kaaway.
4 Papuy-a ako sa imong templo hangtod sa kahangtoran
ug panalipdi ako sama sa pagpanalipod sa langgam sa iyang mga piso ilalom sa iyang mga pako.
5 Kay nadungog mo, O Dios, ang akong mga saad kanimo
ug gihatagan mo ako sa mga gasa nga gihatag mo sa mga nagatahod kanimo.
6 Dungagi pa ang kinabuhi sa hari
ug paharia siya hangtod sa kahangtoran pinaagi sa iyang mga kaliwat.
7 Hinaut pa nga maghari siya hangtod sa kahangtoran nga inubanan mo, O Dios.
Panalipdi siya sa imong gugma ug pagkamatinumanon.
8 Unya magaawit ako kanunay ug mga pagdayeg kanimo.
Ug tumanon ko kanunay ang akong saad kanimo.

2 From the ends of the earth I call to you,
I call as my heart grows faint;(C)
lead me to the rock(D) that is higher than I.
3 For you have been my refuge,(E)
a strong tower against the foe.(F)
4 I long to dwell(G) in your tent forever
and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.[b](H)
5 For you, God, have heard my vows;(I)
you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.(J)
