English Standard Version
14 (A)Each evening they come back,
howling like dogs
and prowling about the city.
15 They (B)wander about for food
and growl if they do not get their fill.
16 But I will sing of your strength;
I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you have been to me (C)a fortress
and (D)a refuge in (E)the day of my distress.
17 O my Strength, I will sing praises to you,
for you, O God, (F)are my fortress,
(G)the God who shows me steadfast love.

14 They return at evening,
snarling like dogs,
and prowl about the city.
15 They wander about for food(A)
and howl if not satisfied.
16 But I will sing(B) of your strength,(C)

for you are my fortress,(F)
my refuge in times of trouble.(G)
17 You are my strength, I sing praise to you;
