⁷ “^(A)Hear, O My people, and I will speak;
O Israel, I will testify ^[a]against you;
I am God, ^(B)your God.
⁸ I do ^(C)not reprove you for your sacrifices,
And your burnt offerings are continually before Me.
⁹ I shall take no ^(D)young bull out of your house
Nor male goats out of your folds.

¹¹ “^(A)What are your multiplied sacrifices to Me?”
Says Yahweh.
“I ^[a]have had enough of burnt offerings of rams
And the fat of fed cattle;
And in the blood of bulls, lambs, or goats ^[b]I take no pleasure.

³ “But he who slaughters an ox is the one who strikes down a man;
He who sacrifices a lamb is the one who breaks a dog’s neck;
He who offers a grain offering is the one who offers ^(A)swine’s blood;
He who ^(B)offers a memorial offering of frankincense is the one who blesses wickedness.
As they have chosen their ^(C)own ways,
And their soul takes pleasure in their ^(D)detestable things,
