There is (A)nothing [a]reliable in their mouth;
Their (B)inward part is destruction itself.
Their (C)throat is an open grave;
They [b]flatter with their tongue.
10 Hold them guilty, O God;
(D)By their own devices let them fall!
In the abundance of their transgressions (E)thrust them out,
For they are (F)rebellious against You.

In his (A)lofty pride the wicked [a]hotly pursues the afflicted;
[b]Let them be (B)caught in the thoughts which they have devised.

For the wicked (C)boasts of his (D)soul’s desire,
And [c]the greedy man curses and (E)spurns Yahweh.
The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, (F)does not seek Him.
All his [d]thoughts are, “(G)There is no God.”

His ways [e](H)prosper at all times;
Your judgments are on high, (I)out of his sight;
As for all his adversaries, he snorts at them.
He says in his heart, “(J)I will not be shaken;
[f]From generation to generation (K)I will not be in adversity.”

Ayin

He sits in the [g](O)places of the villages where one lies in wait;
In the hiding places he (P)kills the innocent;
His eyes [h]stealthily watch for the [i](Q)unfortunate.
He lies in wait in a hiding place as (R)a lion in his [j]lair;
He (S)lies in wait to catch (T)the afflicted;
He catches the afflicted when he draws him into his (U)net.
10 He [k]crouches, he [l]bows down,
And the [m]unfortunate fall [n]by his mighty ones.
11 He (V)says in his heart, “God has forgotten;
He has hidden His face; He will never see it.”

For the choir director. Of the servant of Yahweh, of David.

36 [a]Transgression declares to the [b]ungodly within [c]his heart;
There is (A)no dread of God before his eyes.
For it (B)flatters him in his eyes
For one to discover his iniquity and hate it.
The (C)words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit;
He has (D)ceased to consider to do good.
He (E)devises wickedness upon his bed;
He sets himself on a (F)path that is not good;
He (G)does not despise evil.
