Psalm 46:4-11

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy habitation of the Most High.(A)
5 God is in the midst of the city;[a] it shall not be moved;
God will help it when the morning dawns.(B)
6 The nations are in an uproar; the kingdoms totter;
he utters his voice; the earth melts.(C)
7 The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our refuge.[b] Selah(D)
8 Come, behold the works of the Lord;
see what desolations he has brought on the earth.(E)
9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
he breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields with fire.(F)
10 “Be still, and know that I am God!
I am exalted among the nations;
I am exalted in the earth.”(G)
11 The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our refuge.[c] Selah

the holy place where the Most High(D) dwells.(E)
5 God is within her,(F) she will not fall;(G)
God will help(H) her at break of day.
6 Nations(I) are in uproar,(J) kingdoms(K) fall;
he lifts his voice,(L) the earth melts.(M)
8 Come and see what the Lord has done,(R)
the desolations(S) he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars(T) cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow(U) and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields[a] with fire.(V)
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;(W)
I will be exalted(X) among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
