² One-third you shall burn in the fire at the center of the city when the ^(A)days of the siege are fulfilled. Then you shall take one-third and strike it with the sword all around ^[a]the city, and one-third you shall scatter to the wind; and I will ^(B)unsheathe a sword behind them.

¹² One-third of you will die by the ^(A)plague or be consumed by the famine among you, one-third will fall by the sword around you, and one-third I will ^(B)scatter to every wind, and I will ^(C)unsheathe a sword behind them.

⁸ “However, I will leave a ^(A)remnant, for you will have those who ^(B)escaped the sword among the nations when you are scattered among the lands.

¹⁴ And I will ^(A)scatter to every wind all who are around him, his helpers and all his troops; and I will draw out a sword after them.

⁶ “^[a]Ho there! ^(A)Flee from the land of the north,” declares Yahweh, “for I have ^(B)dispersed you as the four winds of the heavens,” declares Yahweh.

¹⁴ “but I ^[a](A)scattered them with a ^(B)storm wind among all the nations whom they have not known. Thus the land is ^(C)desolated behind them ^[b]so that ^(D)no one was passing through and returning, for they ^(E)made the pleasant land desolate.”
