8 By day the Lord directs his love,(A)
    at night(B) his song(C) is with me—
    a prayer to the God of my life.(D)

9 I say to God my Rock,(E)
    “Why have you forgotten(F) me?
Why must I go about mourning,(G)
    oppressed(H) by the enemy?”(I)
