⁶³ But ^(A)Jesus kept silent. ^(B)And the high priest said to Him, “I ^[a](C)adjure You by ^(D)the living God, that You tell us whether You are ^[b]the Christ, ^(E)the Son of God.”

¹⁵ and saying, “Men, why are you doing these things? We are also ^(A)men of the same nature as you, and ^(B)preach the gospel to you that you should turn from these ^[a](C)vain things to a ^(D)living God, ^(E)who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them.

³ being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, ^[a](A)cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of ^(B)the living God, not on ^(C)tablets of stone but on ^(D)tablets of ^[b](E)human hearts.

¹⁶ Or ^(A)what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are ^(B)the temple of ^(C)the living God; just as God said,

⁹ For they themselves report about us what kind of a ^[a](A)reception we had ^[b]with you, and how you ^(B)turned to God ^(C)from ^[c]idols to serve ^[d](D)a living and true God,

¹⁵ but ^[a]in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how ^[b]one ought to conduct himself in ^(A)the household of God, which is the ^(B)church of ^(C)the living God, the ^(D)pillar and support of the truth.

¹⁰ For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed ^(A)our hope on ^(B)the living God, who is ^(C)the Savior of all men, especially of believers.
