Psalm 41:8-10

⁸ “A vile disease has afflicted him;
    he will never get up^(A) from the place where he lies.”
⁹ Even my close friend,^(B)
    someone I trusted,
one who shared my bread,
    has turned^[a] against me.^(C)

¹⁰ But may you have mercy^(D) on me, Lord;
    raise me up,^(E) that I may repay^(F) them.
