⁶ But perceiving that one group were ^(A)Sadducees and the other Pharisees, Paul began crying out in ^(B)the ^[a]Council, “^(C)Brethren, ^(D)I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees; I am on trial for ^(E)the hope and resurrection of the dead!”

¹⁸ In hope against hope he believed, so that he might become ^(A)a father of many nations according to that which had been spoken, “^(B)So shall your ^[a]descendants be.”

⁴ and ^(A)perseverance, ^(B)proven character; and proven character, hope; ⁵ and hope ^(C)does not disappoint, because the love of God has been ^(D)poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

¹³ But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the ^[a]greatest of these is ^(A)love.

²⁷ to whom ^(A)God willed to make known what is ^(B)the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is ^(C)Christ in you, the ^(D)hope of glory.
