Psalm 37:7-9

⁷^(A)Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
^(B)fret not yourself over the one who ^(C)prospers in his way,
over the man who carries out evil devices!

⁸^(D)Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath!
^(E)Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.
⁹^(F)For the evildoers shall be cut off,
but those who wait for the Lord shall ^(G)inherit the land.

⁷Be still^(A) before the Lord
and wait patiently^(B) for him;
do not fret^(C) when people succeed in their ways,^(D)
when they carry out their wicked schemes.^(E)

⁸Refrain from anger^(F) and turn from wrath;
do not fret^(G)—it leads only to evil.
⁹For those who are evil will be destroyed,^(H)
but those who hope^(I) in the Lord will inherit the land.^(J)
