¹³ The Lord ^(A)laughs at him,
For He sees that ^(B)his day is coming.

²¹ Also her ^(A)mercenaries in her midst
Are like ^[a]fattened ^(B)calves,
For even they have turned back and have fled away together;
They did not stand their ground.
For the day of their disaster has come upon them,
The time of their ^(C)punishment.

⁴⁴ “The one who ^(A)flees from the panic
Will fall into the pit,
And the one who climbs up out of the pit
Will be caught in the pitfall;
For I shall bring upon her, even upon Moab,
The year of their ^(B)punishment,” declares Yahweh.
