Psalm 35:15-20

New International Version

¹⁵ But when I stumbled, they gathered in glee;^(A)
    assailants gathered against me without my knowledge.
    They slandered^(B) me without ceasing.
¹⁶ Like the ungodly they maliciously mocked;^[a](C)
    they gnashed their teeth^(D) at me.

¹⁷ How long,^(E) Lord, will you look on?
    Rescue me from their ravages,
    my precious life^(F) from these lions.^(G)
18 I will give you thanks in the great assembly;^(H)
    among the throngs^(I) I will praise you.^(J)
19 Do not let those gloat over me
    who are my enemies^(K) without cause;
do not let those who hate me without reason^(L)
    maliciously wink the eye.^(M)
20 They do not speak peaceably,
    but devise false accusations^(N)
    against those who live quietly in the land.
