Psalm 32:8-11
English Standard Version
8 I will (A)instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will (B)counsel you with my eye upon you.
9 (C)Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding,
which must be curbed with (D)bit and bridle,
or it will not stay near you.
10 (E)Many are the sorrows of the wicked,
but steadfast love surrounds the one who (F)trusts in the Lord.
11 (G)Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous,
and (H)shout for joy, all you (I)upright in heart!
Psalm 32:8-11
New International Version
8 I will instruct(A) you and teach you(B) in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on(C) you.
9 Do not be like the horse or the mule,
which have no understanding
but must be controlled by bit and bridle(D)
or they will not come to you.
10 Many are the woes of the wicked,(E)
but the Lord’s unfailing love
surrounds the one who trusts(F) in him.
11 Rejoice in the Lord(G) and be glad, you righteous;
sing, all you who are upright in heart!
Psalm 32:8-11
King James Version
8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.
11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
