3 The voice of the Lord is over (A)the waters;
the God of glory (B)thunders,
the Lord, over many waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is (C)powerful;
the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
the Lord breaks (D)the cedars of Lebanon.
6 He makes Lebanon to (E)skip like a calf,
and (F)Sirion like a young (G)wild ox.
7 The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire.
8 The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;
the Lord shakes the wilderness of (H)Kadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord makes (I)the deer give birth[a]
and strips the forests bare,
and in his temple all cry, “Glory!”

5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.(F)
6 He makes Lebanon leap(G) like a calf,
Sirion[a](H) like a young wild ox.(I)
7 The voice of the Lord strikes
with flashes of lightning.(J)
8 The voice of the Lord shakes the desert;
the Lord shakes the Desert of Kadesh.(K)
9 The voice of the Lord twists the oaks[b](L)
and strips the forests bare.
And in his temple all cry, “Glory!”(M)
