English Standard Version

6 Blessed be the Lord!
    For he has (A)heard the voice of my pleas for mercy.
7 The Lord is my strength and (B)my shield;
    in him my heart (C)trusts, and I am helped;
my heart exults,
    and with my (D)song I give thanks to him.

8 The Lord is the strength of his people;[a]
    he is (E)the saving refuge of his anointed.
9 Oh, save your people and bless (F)your heritage!
    (G)Be their shepherd and (H)carry them forever.

My heart leaps for joy,(E)
    and with my song I praise him.(F)

8 The Lord is the strength(G) of his people,

    be their shepherd(L) and carry them(M) forever.
