Psalm 25:9-26:12

9 He leads the humble in what is right,
and teaches the humble his way.
10 All the paths of the Lord are (A)steadfast love and faithfulness,
for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.
11 For your (B)name's sake, O Lord,
pardon my guilt, for it is (C)great.
12 Who is the man who fears the Lord?
Him (D)will he instruct in the way that he should choose.
13 His soul shall (E)abide in well-being,
and his (F)offspring (G)shall inherit the land.
14 (H)The friendship[a] of the Lord is for those who fear him,
and he makes known to them his covenant.
15 My (I)eyes are ever toward the Lord,
for he will (J)pluck my feet out of the net.
16 (K)Turn to me and be gracious to me,
for I am lonely and afflicted.
17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged;
bring me out of my distresses.
18 (L)Consider my affliction and my trouble,
and forgive all my sins.
19 Consider how many are my foes,
and with what violent hatred they hate me.
20 Oh, guard my soul, and deliver me!
(M)Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.
21 May integrity and uprightness preserve me,
for I wait for you.
22 (N)Redeem Israel, O God,
out of all his troubles.

26 (O)Vindicate me, O Lord,
for I have (P)walked in my integrity,
and I have (Q)trusted in the Lord without wavering.
2 (R)Prove me, O Lord, and try me;
test my heart and (S)my mind.[b]
3 For your (T)steadfast love is before my eyes,
and I (U)walk in your (V)faithfulness.
4 I do not (W)sit with men of (X)falsehood,
nor do I consort with hypocrites.
5 I (Y)hate the assembly of evildoers,
and I will not sit with the wicked.
6 I (Z)wash my hands in innocence
and go around your altar, O Lord,
7 proclaiming thanksgiving aloud,
and telling all your (AA)wondrous deeds.
8 O Lord, I (AB)love the habitation of your house
and the place where your glory dwells.
9 (AC)Do not sweep my soul away with sinners,
nor my life with bloodthirsty men,
10 in whose hands are evil devices,
and whose right hands are full of (AD)bribes.
11 But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity;
redeem me, and be gracious to me.
12 My foot stands on (AE)level ground;
in (AF)the great assembly I will bless the Lord.

11 For the sake of your name,(E) Lord,
forgive(F) my iniquity,(G) though it is great.
12 Who, then, are those who fear the Lord?(H)
He will instruct them in the ways(I) they should choose.[a]
13 They will spend their days in prosperity,(J)
and their descendants will inherit the land.(K)
14 The Lord confides(L) in those who fear him;
he makes his covenant known(M) to them.
15 My eyes are ever on the Lord,(N)
for only he will release my feet from the snare.(O)
16 Turn to me(P) and be gracious to me,(Q)
for I am lonely(R) and afflicted.
17 Relieve the troubles(S) of my heart
and free me from my anguish.(T)
18 Look on my affliction(U) and my distress(V)
and take away all my sins.(W)
19 See how numerous are my enemies(X)
and how fiercely they hate me!(Y)
20 Guard my life(Z) and rescue me;(AA)
do not let me be put to shame,(AB)
for I take refuge(AC) in you.
21 May integrity(AD) and uprightness(AE) protect me,
because my hope, Lord,[b] is in you.(AF)
22 Deliver Israel,(AG) O God,
from all their troubles!

1 Vindicate me,(AH) Lord,
for I have led a blameless life;(AI)
I have trusted(AJ) in the Lord
and have not faltered.(AK)
2 Test me,(AL) Lord, and try me,
examine my heart and my mind;(AM)
3 for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love(AN)
and have lived(AO) in reliance on your faithfulness.(AP)
4 I do not sit(AQ) with the deceitful,
nor do I associate with hypocrites.(AR)
5 I abhor(AS) the assembly of evildoers
and refuse to sit with the wicked.
6 I wash my hands in innocence,(AT)
and go about your altar, Lord,
7 proclaiming aloud your praise(AU)
and telling of all your wonderful deeds.(AV)
8 Lord, I love(AW) the house where you live,
the place where your glory dwells.(AX)
9 Do not take away my soul along with sinners,
my life with those who are bloodthirsty,(AY)
10 in whose hands are wicked schemes,(AZ)
whose right hands are full of bribes.(BA)
11 I lead a blameless life;
deliver me(BB) and be merciful to me.
