The Lord, the Psalmist’s Shepherd.

A Psalm of David.

23 The Lord is my (A)shepherd,
I [a]shall (B)not want.
He makes me lie down in (C)green pastures;
He (D)leads me beside [b](E)quiet waters.
He (F)restores my soul;
He (G)guides me in the [c](H)paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

Even though I (I)walk through the [d]valley of the shadow of death,
I (J)fear no [e]evil, for (K)You are with me;
Your (L)rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You (M)prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You [f]have (N)anointed my head with oil;
My (O)cup overflows.
[g]Surely (P)goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will [h](Q)dwell in the house of the Lord [i]forever.

The King of Glory Entering Zion.

A Psalm of David.

24 The (R)earth is the Lord’s, and [j]all it contains,
The (S)world, and those who dwell in it.
For He has (T)founded it upon the seas
And established it upon the rivers.
Who may (U)ascend into the (V)hill of the Lord?
And who may stand in His holy (W)place?
He who has (X)clean hands and a (Y)pure heart,
Who has not (Z)lifted up his soul [k]to falsehood
And has not (AA)sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive a (AB)blessing from the Lord
And [l](AC)righteousness from the God of his salvation.
[m]This is the generation of those who (AD)seek Him,
Who seek Your face—even Jacob. [n]Selah.

(AE)Lift up your heads, O gates,
And be lifted up, O [o]ancient doors,
That the King of (AF)glory may come in!
Who is the King of glory?
The Lord (AG)strong and mighty,
The Lord (AH)mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O gates,
And lift them up, O [p]ancient doors,
That the King of (AI)glory may come in!
10 Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of (AJ)hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah.

Prayer for Protection, Guidance and Pardon.

A Psalm of David.

25 To You, O Lord, I (AK)lift up my soul.
O my God, in You (AL)I trust,
Do not let me (AM)be ashamed;
Do not let my (AN)enemies exult over me.
Indeed, (AO)none of those who wait for You will be ashamed;
[q]Those who (AP)deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.

(AQ)Make me know Your ways, O Lord;
Teach me Your paths.
Lead me in (AR)Your truth and teach me,
For You are the (AS)God of my salvation;
For You I (AT)wait all the day.
(AU)Remember, O Lord, Your compassion and Your lovingkindnesses,
For they have been [r](AV)from of old.
Do not remember the (AW)sins of my youth or my transgressions;
(AX)According to Your lovingkindness remember me,
For Your (AY)goodness’ sake, O Lord.

(AZ)Good and (BA)upright is the Lord;
Therefore He (BB)instructs sinners in the way.
He (BC)leads the [s]humble in justice,
And He (BD)teaches the [t]humble His way.
10 All the paths of the Lord are (BE)lovingkindness and truth
To (BF)those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.
11 For (BG)Your name’s sake, O Lord,
(BH)Pardon my iniquity, for it is great.

12 Who is the man who (BI)fears the Lord?
He will (BJ)instruct him in the way he should choose.
13 His soul will (BK)abide in [u]prosperity,
And his [v]descendants will (BL)inherit the [w]land.
14 The [x](BM)secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him,
[y]And He will (BN)make them know His covenant.
15 My (BO)eyes are continually toward the Lord,
For He will [z](BP)pluck my feet out of the net.

16 (BQ)Turn to me and be gracious to me,
For I am (BR)lonely and afflicted.
17 [aa]The (BS)troubles of my heart are enlarged;
Bring me (BT)out of my distresses.
18 (BU)Look upon my affliction and my [ab]trouble,
And (BV)forgive all my sins.
19 Look upon my enemies, for they (BW)are many,
And they (BX)hate me with violent hatred.
20 (BY)Guard my soul and deliver me;
Do not let me (BZ)be ashamed, for I take refuge in You.
21 Let (CA)integrity and uprightness preserve me,
For (CB)I wait for You.
22 (CC)Redeem Israel, O God,
Out of all his troubles.
