²O my God, I cry by ^(A)day, but you do not answer,
and by night, but I find no rest.

²My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,^(A)
by night,^(B) but I find no rest.^[a]

⁷And ^(A)will not God give justice to ^(B)his elect, ^(C)who cry to him day and night? ^(D)^(E)Will he delay long over them?

⁷And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out^(A) to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?
