Psalm 16:6-11

⁶^(A)The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.

⁷I bless the Lord who ^(B)gives me counsel;
in ^(C)the night also my ^(D)heart instructs me.^[a]
⁸^(E)I have ^(F)set the Lord always before me;
because he is at my ^(G)right hand, I shall not be ^(H)shaken.

⁹Therefore my heart is glad, and my ^(I)whole being^[b] rejoices;
my flesh also dwells secure.
¹⁰For you will not abandon my soul to ^(J)Sheol,
^(K)or let your ^(L)holy one see ^(M)corruption.^[c]

¹¹You make known to me ^(N)the path of life;
in your presence there is ^(O)fullness of joy;
at your right hand are ^(P)pleasures forevermore.

    surely I have a delightful inheritance.^(B)
⁷I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;^(C)
    even at night^(D) my heart instructs me.
⁸I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
    With him at my right hand,^(E) I will not be shaken.^(F)

⁹Therefore my heart is glad^(G) and my tongue rejoices;
    my body also will rest secure,^(H)
¹⁰because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,^(I)
    nor will you let your faithful^[a] one^(J) see decay.^(K)
