⁴^(A)In whose eyes a vile person is despised,
But he honors those who fear the Lord;
He who ^(B)swears to his own hurt and does not change;

⁴who despises a vile person
but honors^(A) those who fear the Lord;
who keeps an oath^(B) even when it hurts,
and does not change their mind;

⁶“For I am the Lord, ^(A)I do not change;
^(B)Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

⁶“I the Lord do not change.^(A) So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.^(B)
