⁵ Let the ^(A)godly ones exult in glory;
Let them ^(B)sing for joy on their beds.
⁶ Let the ^(C)high praises of God be in their ^[a]mouth,
And a ^(D)two-edged ^(E)sword in their hand,
⁷ To ^(F)execute vengeance on the nations
And punishment on the peoples,
⁸ To bind their kings ^(G)with chains
And their ^(H)nobles with fetters of iron,
⁹ To ^(I)execute on them the judgment written;
This is an ^(J)honor for all His godly ones.
^[b]Praise ^[c]the Lord!

¹² “For the ^(A)nation and the kingdom which will not serve you will perish,
And the nations will be utterly ruined.
¹³ “The ^(B)glory of Lebanon will come to you,
The ^(C)juniper, the box tree and the cypress together,
To beautify the place of My sanctuary;
And I shall make the ^(D)place of My feet glorious.
¹⁴ “The ^(E)sons of those who afflicted you will come bowing to you,
And all those who despised you will bow themselves at the soles of your feet;
And they will call you the ^(F)city of the Lord,
The ^(G)Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
