7 As when one (A)plows and breaks open the earth,
Our (B)bones have been scattered at the (C)mouth of [a]Sheol.

8 For my (D)eyes are toward You, O [b]God, the Lord;
In You I (E)take refuge; (F)do not [c]leave me defenseless.
9 Keep me from the [d](G)jaws of the trap which they have set for me,
And from the (H)snares of those who do iniquity.

7 They will say, “As one plows(A) and breaks up the earth,(B)
    so our bones have been scattered at the mouth(C) of the grave.”

8 But my eyes are fixed(D) on you, Sovereign Lord;
    in you I take refuge(E)—do not give me over to death.
9 Keep me safe(F) from the traps set by evildoers,(G)
    from the snares(H) they have laid for me.
