Psalm 140:3-5

3 They (A)sharpen their tongues as a serpent;
(B)Poison of an asp is under their lips. [a]Selah.

4 (C)Keep me, O Yahweh, from the hands of the wicked;
(D)Guard me from violent men
Who [b]give thought to [c](E)trip up my steps.
5 The proud have (F)hidden a trap for me, and cords;
They have spread a (G)net by the [d]wayside;

3 They make their tongues as sharp as(A) a serpent’s;
    the poison of vipers(B) is on their lips.[a]

4 Keep me safe,(C) Lord, from the hands of the wicked;(D)
    protect me from the violent,
    who devise ways to trip my feet.
5 The arrogant have hidden a snare(E) for me;
    they have spread out the cords of their net(F)
    and have set traps(G) for me along my path.
