⁴ Do all the workers of iniquity ^(A)not know,
Who ^(B)eat up my people as they eat bread,
And ^(C)do not call upon Yahweh?

¹⁴ There is a generation whose ^(A)teeth are like swords
And its ^(B)fangs like knives,
To ^(C)devour the afflicted from the earth
And the needy from among men.

¹¹ Therefore because you ^[a]impose heavy rent on the poor
And take a tribute of grain from them,
Though you have built ^(A)houses of cut stone,
Yet you will not live in them;
You have planted desirable vineyards, yet you will ^(B)not drink their wine.
¹² For I know your transgressions are many and your sins are mighty,
You who ^(C)distress the righteous and take bribes
And ^[b]turn aside the needy in the ^[c]gate.
