7 Remember, O Lord, against the Edomites, that they said in the day of Jerusalem’s fall, Down, down to the ground with her!
8 O Daughter of Babylon [you devastator, you!], who [ought to be and] shall be destroyed, happy and blessed shall he be who requites you as you have served us.(A)
9 Happy and blessed shall he be who takes and dashes your little ones against the rock!

7 Remember, Lord, what the Edomites(A) did
on the day Jerusalem fell.(B)
“Tear it down,” they cried,
“tear it down to its foundations!”(C)
8 Daughter Babylon, doomed to destruction,(D)
happy is the one who repays you
according to what you have done to us.
9 Happy is the one who seizes your infants
and dashes them(E) against the rocks.
