⁷⁷Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.

⁷⁷Let your compassion^(A) come to me that I may live,
for your law is my delight.^(B)

⁷⁸Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts.

⁷⁸May the arrogant^(A) be put to shame for wronging me without cause;^(B)
but I will meditate on your precepts.
