Help me to understand them
and live.

¹⁴⁵I pray to you, Lord!
Please answer me.
I promise to obey your laws.

so I can follow your rules.

¹⁴⁴Your statutes are always righteous;
give me understanding^(A) that I may live.

¹⁴⁵I call with all my heart;^(B) answer me, Lord,
and I will obey your decrees.^(C)

and I will keep your statutes.
