Assurance of God’s Victory over Enemies(A)
A Song. A Psalm of David.
108 O (B)God, my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
2 (C)Awake, lute and harp!
I will awaken the dawn.
3 I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples,
And I will sing praises to You among the nations.
4 For Your mercy is great above the [a]heavens,
And Your truth reaches to the clouds.
5 (D)Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
And Your glory above all the earth;
6 (E)That Your beloved may be delivered,
Save with Your right hand, and [b]hear me.
7 God has spoken in His holiness:
“I will rejoice;
I will divide Shechem
And measure out the Valley of Succoth.
8 Gilead is Mine; Manasseh is Mine;
Ephraim also is the [c]helmet for My head;
(F)Judah is My lawgiver.
9 Moab is My washpot;
Over Edom I will cast My shoe;
Over Philistia I will triumph.”
10 (G)Who will bring me into the strong city?
Who will lead me to Edom?
11 Is it not You, O God, who cast us off?
And You, O God, who did not go out with our armies?
12 Give us help from trouble,
For the help of man is useless.
13 (H)Through God we will do valiantly,
For it is He who shall tread down our enemies.

108 Mi corazón está dispuesto, oh Dios;
Cantaré y entonaré salmos; esta es mi gloria.
2 Despiértate, salterio y arpa;
Despertaré al alba.
3 Te alabaré, oh Jehová, entre los pueblos;
A ti cantaré salmos entre las naciones.
4 Porque más grande que los cielos es tu misericordia,
Y hasta los cielos tu verdad.
5 Exaltado seas sobre los cielos, oh Dios,
Y sobre toda la tierra sea enaltecida tu gloria.
6 Para que sean librados tus amados,
Salva con tu diestra y respóndeme.
7 Dios ha dicho en su santuario: Yo me alegraré;
Repartiré a Siquem, y mediré el valle de Sucot.
8 Mío es Galaad, mío es Manasés,
Y Efraín es la fortaleza de mi cabeza;
Judá es mi legislador.
9 Moab, la vasija para lavarme;
Sobre Edom echaré mi calzado;
Me regocijaré sobre Filistea.
10 ¿Quién me guiará a la ciudad fortificada?
¿Quién me guiará hasta Edom?
11 ¿No serás tú, oh Dios, que nos habías desechado,
Y no salías, oh Dios, con nuestros ejércitos?
12 Danos socorro contra el adversario,
Porque vana es la ayuda del hombre.
13 En Dios haremos proezas,
Y él hollará a nuestros enemigos.

108 My heart is fixed, O God;
I will sing, yea, I will sing praises, even with my glory.
2 Awake, psaltery and harp:
I myself will [a]awake right early.
3 I will give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah, among the peoples;
And I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
4 For thy lovingkindness is great above the heavens;
And thy truth reacheth unto the skies.
5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens,
And thy glory above all the earth.
6 That thy beloved may be delivered,
Save with thy right hand, and answer [b]us.
7 God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult;
I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
8 Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim also is the defence of my head;
Judah is my [c]sceptre.
9 Moab is my washpot;
[d]Upon Edom will I cast my shoe;
Over Philistia will I shout.
10 Who will bring me into the fortified city?
Who [e]hath led me unto Edom?
11 [f]Hast not thou cast us off, O God?
And thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts.
12 Give us help against the adversary;
For vain is the [g]help of man.
13 Through God we shall do valiantly:
For he it is that will tread down our adversaries.

2 (3) Awake, nevel and kinnor; I will awaken the shachar (dawn).
3 (4) I will praise Thee, Hashem, among the peoples; and I will sing praises unto Thee among the nations.
4 (5) For Thy chesed is gadol above Shomayim; and Thy emes reacheth unto the clouds.
5 (6) Be Thou exalted, Elohim, above Shomayim; and Thy kavod above kol ha’aretz;
6 (7) That Thy beloved may be delivered; hoshiah (save) with Thy Yamin, and answer me.
7 (8) Elohim hath spoken in His Kodesh; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the Valley of Sukkot.
8 (9) Gil‘ad is Mine; Menasheh is Mine; Ephrayim also is the maoz of Mine rosh; Yehudah is My mechokek (lawgiver);
9 (10) Moav is My washbasin; over Edom will I toss My na’al (sandal); over Philistia will I shout in triumph.
10 (11) Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will lead me into Edom?
11 (12) Wilt not Thou, Elohim, Who hast cast us off? And wilt not Thou, Elohim, go forth with our Tzivos?
12 (13) Give us help against the enemy; for vain is the teshuat adam (help of man).
13 (14) Through Elohim we shall do valiantly; for He it is that shall tread down our enemies.
