⁶ You ^(A)covered it with the deep as with a garment;
The waters were standing above the mountains.
⁷ At Your ^(B)rebuke they fled,
At the ^(C)sound of Your thunder they hurried away in alarm.
⁸ The mountains went up; the valleys went down
To the ^(D)place which You founded for them.
⁹ You set a ^(E)boundary that they may not pass over,
So that they will not return to cover the earth.

⁶ The One who builds His ^[a](A)upper chambers in the heavens
And has founded His vaulted dome over the earth;
The One who ^(B)calls for the waters of the sea
And ^(C)pours them out on the face of the earth;
^(D)Yahweh is His name.
