Psalm 35:19-26

New American Standard Bible

^19 (A)Do not let those who are wrongfully ^(B)my enemies rejoice over me;
Nor let those ^(C)who hate me for no reason ^[a](D)wink maliciously.
²⁰ For they do not speak peace,
But they devise ^(E)deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.
²¹ They ^(F)opened their mouth wide against me;
They said, “^(G)Aha, aha! Our eyes have seen it!”

^22 (H)You have seen it, Lord, ^(I)do not keep silent;
Lord, ^(J)do not be far from me.
^23 (K)Stir Yourself, and awake to my right
And to my cause, my God and my Lord.
^24 (L)Judge me, Lord my God, according to Your righteousness,
And ^(M)do not let them rejoice over me.
²⁵ Do not let them say in their heart, “^(N)Aha, our desire!”
Do not let them say, “We have ^(O)swallowed him up!”
²⁶ May ^(P)those be ashamed and altogether humiliated who rejoice at my distress;
May those who ^(Q)exalt themselves over me be ^(R)clothed with shame and dishonor.
