¹³ He is clothed with a ^(A)robe dipped in blood, and His name is called ^(B)The Word of God. ¹⁴ And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in ^(C)fine linen, ^(D)white and clean, were following Him on white horses. ^15 (E)From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that ^(F)with it He may strike down the nations, and He will ^[a](G)rule them with a rod of iron; and ^(H)He treads the ^[b]wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. ¹⁶ And on His robe and on His thigh He has ^(I)a name written: “^(J)KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

The Word Made Flesh

¹⁴ And ^(A)the Word ^(B)became flesh, and ^(C)dwelt among us; and ^(D)we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of ^(E)grace and ^(F)truth.

⁵ For ^[a]when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that ^(A)by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was ^(B)formed out of water and by water, ⁶ through which ^(C)the world at that time was ^(D)destroyed by being flooded with water. ⁷ But by His word ^(E)the present heavens and earth are being reserved for ^(F)fire, kept for ^(G)the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly people.

²³ for you have been ^(A)born again ^(B)not of seed which is perishable, but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring ^(C)word of God.

And this is ^(B)the word which was ^[a]preached to you.

³ By faith we understand that the ^[a](A)world has been created ^(B)by the word of God so that what is seen ^(C)has not been made out of things that are visible.
