²³ But you, O God, ^(A)will cast them down
    into ^(B)the pit of destruction;
men of ^(C)blood and treachery
    shall not ^(D)live out half their days.
But I will ^(E)trust in you.

^11 (A)Once God has spoken;
    ^(B)twice have I heard this:
that ^(C)power belongs to God,

^3 (A)Put not your trust in princes,
    ^(B)in a son of man, in whom there is ^(C)no salvation.

⁵ Thus says the Lord:
“Cursed is the man ^(A)who trusts in man
    and makes flesh his strength,^[a]
    whose heart turns away from the Lord.

^7 (A)“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
    ^(B)whose trust is the Lord.
