Un monde corrompu[a]
14 Au chef de chœur : de David.
Les insensés pensent : ╵« Dieu n’existe pas. »
Ils sont corrompus, ╵leurs agissements sont abominables, ╵et aucun ne fait le bien[b].
2 Du ciel, l’Eternel observe ╵tout le genre humain :
« Reste-t-il un homme sage
qui s’attend à Dieu ?
3 Ils se sont tous égarés, ╵tous sont corrompus,
et aucun ne fait le bien,
même pas un seul.
4 Tous ces gens qui font le mal, ╵n’ont-ils rien compris ?
Car ils dévorent mon peuple, ╵tout comme on mange du pain[c] !
Jamais ils n’invoquent l’Eternel ! »
5 Ils sont saisis d’épouvante,
car Dieu est avec les justes.
6 Pensez-vous pouvoir ruiner ╵les projets des pauvres ?
L’Eternel est leur refuge.
7 Ah, que vienne du mont de Sion ╵le salut pour Israël !
Quand l’Eternel changera ╵le sort de son peuple[d],
Jacob criera d’allégresse, ╵Israël, de joie.

14 Au chef des chantres. De David. L'insensé dit en son coeur: Il n'y a point de Dieu! Ils se sont corrompus, ils ont commis des actions abominables; Il n'en est aucun qui fasse le bien.
2 L'Éternel, du haut des cieux, regarde les fils de l'homme, Pour voir s'il y a quelqu'un qui soit intelligent, Qui cherche Dieu.
3 Tous sont égarés, tous sont pervertis; Il n'en est aucun qui fasse le bien, Pas même un seul.
4 Tous ceux qui commettent l'iniquité ont-ils perdu le sens? Ils dévorent mon peuple, ils le prennent pour nourriture; Ils n'invoquent point l'Éternel.
5 C'est alors qu'ils trembleront d'épouvante, Quand Dieu paraîtra au milieu de la race juste.
6 Jetez l'opprobre sur l'espérance du malheureux... L'Éternel est son refuge.
7 Oh! qui fera partir de Sion la délivrance d'Israël? Quand l'Éternel ramènera les captifs de son peuple, Jacob sera dans l'allégresse, Israël se réjouira.

14 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.
5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge.
7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
14 The (B)fool has said in his heart,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt,
They have done abominable works,
There is none who does good.
2 (C)The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men,
To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.
3 (D)They have all turned aside,
They have together become corrupt;
There is none who does good,
No, not one.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge,
Who eat up my people as they eat bread,
And (E)do not call on the Lord?
5 There they are in great fear,
For God is with the generation of the righteous.
6 You shame the counsel of the poor,
But the Lord is his (F)refuge.
7 (G)Oh,[a] that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!
(H)When the Lord brings back [b]the captivity of His people,
Let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.
