4 Deras gudar är silver och guld,
människohänders verk.
5 De har mun men kan inte tala,
ögon, men kan inte se.
6 De har öron men kan inte höra,
näsa, men kan inte lukta.
7 De har händer, men kan inte gripa,
och fötter, men kan inte gå.
De ger inga ljud ifrån sin strupe.
8 De som gjort dessa blir som de,
ja, alla som förtröstar på dem.
9 Israel, förtrösta på Herren!
Han är deras hjälp och sköld.
10 Arons släkt, förtrösta på Herren!
Han är deras hjälp och sköld.
11 Alla ni som fruktar Herren, förtrösta på honom!
Han är deras hjälp och sköld.
12 Herren tänker på oss
och vill välsigna Israels folk,
han vill välsigna Arons släkt.
13 Han vill välsigna var och en som fruktar Herren,
små och stora.
14 Må Herren ge många barn till er och era ättlingar.
15 Må ni bli välsignade av Herren,
som har gjort både himmel och jord.
16 Himlen tillhör Herren,
men han har överlämnat jorden åt människorna.
17 De döda prisar inte Herren,
de som har gått ner i tystnaden.
18 Men vi lovar Herren, nu och för evigt!

4 Deras gudar är bara föremål av silver och guld som människor gjort.
5 De kan varken tala eller se, trots att de har ögon och mun!
6 Inte heller kan de höra eller lukta
7 eller använda sina händer och fötter! De ger inga ljud ifrån sig.
8 Lika stela och döda som dessa gudar är, ska de som tillber dem bli.
9 Israels folk, lita på Herren! Han är er hjälp och ert skydd.
10 Arons präster, lita på Herren! Han är er hjälp och ert skydd.
11 Alla ni som fruktar honom, lita på honom! Han skyddar och bevarar er.
12 Herren har inte glömt oss, utan han ska också i framtiden välsigna oss. Hans välsignelse ska vila över Israels folk och Arons präster.
13 Han välsignar var och en som fruktar honom, oavsett om han är obetydlig eller inflytelserik.
14 Må Herren ge många barn till er och era ättlingar.
15 Må ni bli välsignade av Herren, som har skapat både himmel och jord.
16 Himlen tillhör Herren, men han har överlämnat jorden åt människorna.
17 De döda kan inte längre sjunga lovsånger till Herren, för där de nu är tiger man för alltid.
18 Men vi kan det! Vi kan prisa honom nu och för all framtid! Lova Gud! Halleluja!

4 But their idols are silver and gold,(A)
made by human hands.(B)
5 They have mouths, but cannot speak,(C)
eyes, but cannot see.
6 They have ears, but cannot hear,
noses, but cannot smell.
7 They have hands, but cannot feel,
feet, but cannot walk,
nor can they utter a sound with their throats.
8 Those who make them will be like them,
and so will all who trust in them.
9 All you Israelites, trust(D) in the Lord—
he is their help and shield.
10 House of Aaron,(E) trust in the Lord—
he is their help and shield.
11 You who fear him,(F) trust in the Lord—
he is their help and shield.
12 The Lord remembers(G) us and will bless us:(H)
He will bless his people Israel,
he will bless the house of Aaron,
13 he will bless those who fear(I) the Lord—
small and great alike.
14 May the Lord cause you to flourish,(J)
both you and your children.
15 May you be blessed by the Lord,
the Maker of heaven(K) and earth.

14 The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children.
15 Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.
16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
17 The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence.
18 But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the Lord.
