Hoffnung für Alle
Geben macht glücklicher als Nehmen!
112 Halleluja – lobt den Herrn!
Glücklich ist, wer dem Herrn in Ehrfurcht begegnet
und große Freude hat an seinen Geboten!
2 Seine Nachkommen werden im ganzen Land hohes Ansehen genießen,
denn Gottes Segen liegt auf jeder Generation,
die aufrichtig mit ihm lebt.
3 Bei einem solchen Menschen sind Reichtum und Wohlstand zu Hause,
seine Gerechtigkeit hat für immer Bestand.
4 Selbst in dunklen Stunden leuchtet ihm ein Licht,
er ist voll Erbarmen, großmütig und gerecht.
5 Gut geht es dem, der hilfsbereit ist,
der den Armen gerne von seinem Besitz leiht
und sich bei allem, was er tut, an das Recht hält!
6 Nichts wird ihn zu Fall bringen,
ein solcher Mensch wird nie vergessen werden!
7 Er fürchtet sich nicht vor schlechten Nachrichten,
sein Herz ist voller Zuversicht, denn er vertraut dem Herrn.
8 Er lässt sich nicht erschüttern und hat keine Angst,
denn er weiß, dass er über seine Feinde triumphieren wird.
9 Großzügig schenkt er den Bedürftigen, was sie brauchen;
auf seine Barmherzigkeit kann man immer zählen.
Darum kommt er zu Ansehen und Macht.[a]
10 Alle, die Gott missachten, sehen es und ärgern sich,
sie knirschen mit den Zähnen und vergehen vor Wut.
Denn was sie sich erträumt haben, zerrinnt in nichts.

112 Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.
8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.
10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

2 Their children(E) will be mighty in the land;
the generation of the upright will be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches(F) are in their houses,
and their righteousness endures(G) forever.
4 Even in darkness light dawns(H) for the upright,
for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.(I)
5 Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,(J)
who conduct their affairs with justice.
6 Surely the righteous will never be shaken;(K)
they will be remembered(L) forever.
7 They will have no fear of bad news;
their hearts are steadfast,(M) trusting in the Lord.(N)
8 Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear;(O)
in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.(P)
9 They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor,(Q)
their righteousness endures(R) forever;
their horn[c] will be lifted(S) high in honor.
