¹² For ^(A)He who ^[a]requires blood remembers them;
He does not forget ^(B)the cry of the afflicted.

³ For the wicked ^(A)boasts of his ^(B)heart’s desire,
And ^[a]the greedy man curses and ^(C)spurns the Lord.
⁴ The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, ^(D)does not seek Him.
All his ^[b]thoughts are, “^(E)There is no God.”

⁵ His ways ^[c](F)prosper at all times;
Your judgments are on high, ^(G)out of his sight;
As for all his adversaries, he snorts at them.
⁶ He says to himself, “^(H)I will not be moved;
^[d]Throughout all generations ^(I)I will not be in adversity.”
⁷ His ^(J)mouth is full of curses and deceit and ^(K)oppression;
^(L)Under his tongue is mischief and wickedness.
⁸ He sits in the ^(M)lurking places of the villages;
In the hiding places he ^(N)kills the innocent;
His eyes ^[e]stealthily watch for the ^[f](O)unfortunate.
⁹ He lurks in a hiding place as ^(P)a lion in his ^[g]lair;
He ^(Q)lurks to catch ^(R)the afflicted;
He catches the afflicted when he draws him into his ^(S)net.
¹⁰ He ^[h]crouches, he ^[i]bows down,
And the ^[j]unfortunate fall ^[k]by his mighty ones.
¹¹ He ^(T)says to himself, “God has forgotten;
He has hidden His face; He will never see it.”

¹² Arise, O Lord; O God, ^(U)lift up Your hand.
^(V)Do not forget the afflicted.
¹³ Why has the wicked ^(W)spurned God?
He has said to himself, “You will not require it.”
¹⁴ You have seen it, for You have beheld ^(X)mischief and vexation to ^[l]take it into Your hand.
The ^[m](Y)unfortunate commits himself to You;
You have been the ^(Z)helper of the orphan.
