Psalm 20:5-9

New International Version

May the Lord grant all your requests.^(C)

⁶ Now this I know:
    The Lord gives victory to his anointed.^(D)
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary
    with the victorious power of his right hand.^(E)
7 Some trust in chariots^(F) and some in horses,^(G)
    but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.^(H)
8 They are brought to their knees and fall,^(I)
    but we rise up^(J) and stand firm.^(K)
9 Lord, give victory to the king!
    Answer us^(L) when we call!
