⁶ And again, when God brings his firstborn^(A) into the world,^(B) he says,

¹¹ Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand.^(A) They encircled the throne and the living creatures^(B) and the elders.^{(C) 12} In a loud voice they were saying:

¹³ Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth^(G) and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:

¹⁴ The four living creatures^(K) said, “Amen,”^(L) and the elders^(M) fell down and worshiped.^(N)

Reward for Obedience

26 “‘Do not make idols^(A) or set up an image^(B) or a sacred stone^(C) for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone^(D) in your land to bow down before it. I am the Lord your God.

⁸ A second angel followed and said, “‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great,’^[a](A) which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries.”^(B)

⁹ A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast^(C) and its image^(D) and receives its mark on their forehead^(E) or on their hand, ¹⁰ they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury,^(F) which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath.^(G) They will be tormented with burning sulfur^(H) in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.
