⁹ We must not put Christ^[a] to the test, ^(A)as some of them did and ^(B)were destroyed by serpents,

^22 (A)none of the men who have seen my glory and my signs that I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and yet have put me to the test these ^(B)ten times and have not obeyed my voice,

^24 (A)If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, ^(B)they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have ^(C)seen and hated both me and my Father.

Woe to Unrepentant Cities

^20 (A)Then he began to denounce the cities where most of his mighty works had been done, because they did not repent. ^21 (B)“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in ^(C)Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. ^22 (D)But I tell you, it will be more bearable on ^(E)the day of judgment for ^(F)Tyre and Sidon than for you.
