94 O Lord God, ^(A)to whom vengeance belongs—
O God, to whom vengeance belongs, shine forth!

² God is ^(A)jealous, and the Lord avenges;
The Lord avenges and is furious.
The Lord will take vengeance on His adversaries,
And He reserves wrath for His enemies;

⁴ Say to those who are fearful-hearted,
“Be strong, do not fear!
Behold, your God will come with ^(A)vengeance,
With the recompense of God;
He will come and ^(B)save you.”

^35 (A)Vengeance is Mine, and recompense;
Their foot shall slip in due time;
^(B)For the day of their calamity is at hand,
And the things to come hasten upon them.’

²⁸ The voice of those who flee and escape from the land of Babylon
^(A)Declares in Zion the vengeance of the Lord our God,
The vengeance of His temple.

^17 (A)For He put on righteousness as a breastplate,
And a helmet of salvation on His head;
He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing,
And was clad with zeal as a cloak.
