¹⁶ With long life I will satisfy them
    and show them my salvation.^(A)

² for length of days and years of life
    and abundant welfare they will give you.^(A)

¹⁶ Long life is in her right hand;
    in her left hand are riches and honor.^(A)

⁴ He asked you for life; you gave it to him—
    length of days forever and ever.^(A)

²³ Those who bring thanksgiving as their sacrifice honor me;
    to those who go the right way,^[a]
    I will show the salvation of God.”

²⁰ No more shall there be in it
    an infant who lives but a few days
    or an old person who does not live out a lifetime,
for one who dies at a hundred years will be considered a youth,
    and one who falls short of a hundred will be considered accursed.^(A)
21 They shall build houses and inhabit them;
    they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit.^(B)
22 They shall not build and another inhabit;
    they shall not plant and another eat,
for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be,
    and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands.^(C)

²⁶ You shall come to your grave in ripe old age,
    as a shock of grain comes up to the threshing floor in its season.^(A)

³⁰ for my eyes have seen your salvation,^(A)

⁴ The reward for humility and fear of the Lord
    is riches and honor and life.
