² for ^(A)length of days and years of life
    and ^(B)peace they will add to you.

^16 (A)Long life is in her right hand;
    in her left hand are ^(B)riches and honor.

⁴ He asked life of you; you ^(A)gave it to him,
    ^(B)length of days forever and ever.

²³ The one who ^(A)offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me;
    to one who ^(B)orders his way rightly
    I will show the ^(C)salvation of God!”

²⁰ No more shall there be in it
    an infant who lives but a few days,
    or an old man who does not fill out his days,
for ^(A)the young man shall die a hundred years old,
    and ^(B)the sinner a hundred years old shall be accursed.
^21 (C)They shall build houses and inhabit them;
    they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
^22 (D)They shall not build and another inhabit;
    they shall not plant and another eat;
^(E)for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be,
    and my chosen shall long enjoy^[a] the work of their hands.

²⁶ You shall come to your grave in ^(A)ripe old age,
    like a sheaf gathered up in its season.
