¹⁷ For my eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from my presence, nor is their iniquity concealed from my sight.^(A)

¹⁴ For God will bring every deed into judgment, including^[a] every secret thing, whether good or evil.^(A)

¹² Indeed, the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.^{(A) 13} And before him no creature is hidden, but all are naked and laid bare to the eyes of the one to whom we must render an account.^(B)

²⁴ Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them? says the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the Lord.^(A)

¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their works, as recorded in the books.^(A)

²⁰ whenever our hearts condemn us, for God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.

¹³ And the Lord says: Because they have forsaken my law that I set before them and have not obeyed my voice or walked in accordance with it^{(A) 14} but have stubbornly followed their own hearts and have gone after the Baals, as their ancestors taught them.^{(B) 15} Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: I am feeding this people with wormwood and giving them poisonous water to drink.^{(C) 16} I will scatter them among nations that neither they nor their ancestors have known, and I will send the sword after them until I have consumed them.^(D)
