⁸ But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day.^(A)

⁴³ But understand this: if the owner of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.^(A)

³⁸ If he comes during the middle of the night or near dawn and finds them so, blessed are those slaves.

²⁵ And early in the morning he came walking toward them on the sea.
