²⁸ I will maintain my love to him forever,
    and my covenant with him will never fail.^(A)

“‘You are my son;
    today I have become your father.’^[a](D)

“‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’^[b](E)

¹⁰ Though the mountains be shaken^(A)
    and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love^(B) for you will not be shaken^(C)
    nor my covenant^(D) of peace^(E) be removed,”
    says the Lord, who has compassion^(F) on you.

⁹ He provided redemption^(A) for his people;
    he ordained his covenant forever—
    holy and awesome^(B) is his name.

⁵ He provides food^(A) for those who fear him;^(B)
    he remembers his covenant^(C) forever.

³³ but I will not take my love from him,^(A)
    nor will I ever betray my faithfulness.
³⁴ I will not violate my covenant
    or alter what my lips have uttered.^(B)

⁵ “If my house were not right with God,
    surely he would not have made with me an everlasting covenant,^(A)
    arranged and secured in every part;
surely he would not bring to fruition my salvation
    and grant me my every desire.
