²⁴ Now it came to pass, in the morning ^(A)watch, that ^(B)the Lord looked down upon the army of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and cloud, and He ^[a]troubled the army of the Egyptians.

³⁵ And Moses ^(A)was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. ^36 (B)Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would ^[a]go onward in all their journeys. ³⁷ But ^(C)if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up. ³⁸ For ^(D)the cloud of the Lord was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

²¹ And ^(A)the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. ²² He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.
