⁹ when God rose up to establish judgment,
    to save all the oppressed of the earth. Selah^(A)

³ Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land
    who do his commands;
seek righteousness, seek humility;
    perhaps you may be hidden
    on the day of the Lord’s wrath.^(A)

⁴ but with righteousness he shall judge for the poor
    and decide with equity for the oppressed of the earth;
he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth,
    and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.^(A)

²⁸     they have grown fat and sleek.
They know no limits in deeds of wickedness;
    they do not judge with justice
the cause of the orphan, to make it prosper,
    and they do not defend the rights of the needy.^(A)

⁴ For the Lord takes pleasure in his people;
    he adorns the humble with victory.^(A)

² “How long will you judge unjustly
    and show partiality to the wicked? Selah^(A)
3 Give justice to the weak and the orphan;
    maintain the right of the lowly and the destitute.^(B)
4 Rescue the weak and the needy;
    deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”^(C)
