⁵ They don’t have troubles like other people;
    they’re not plagued with problems like everyone else.

¹² Look at these wicked people—
    enjoying a life of ease while their riches multiply.

⁹ Their homes are safe from every fear,
    and God does not punish them.

¹¹ My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline,
    and don’t be upset when he corrects you.
¹² For the Lord corrects those he loves,
    just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.^[a]

⁶ When I think about what I am saying, I shudder.
    My body trembles.
